Coffee to Go

Well, I woke up in the morning, feeling kinda slow.
I stumbled into the kitchen, to make a cup o' Joe.
But the coffee can was empty, there was none upon the shelf.
Now I don't know what I'll do with myself.
My vision is bleary, my energy is low,
I just have to have some coffee to go.

Coffee, coffee, I need my morning coffee.
Coffee, coffee, I gotta have my coffee.
I can't function in the morning, without a cup o' Joe,
I just have to have some coffee to go.

So I went down to a place they call the House of Roasted Beans.
They had more kinds of coffee there than I had ever seen.
They had Kenyan, Hawaiian, pecan and Irish Cream,
Cinnamon, Ameretto, Chocolate Raspberry Supreme.
They asked which one I wanted, and I said, "I just don't know,
I just need to have some coffee to go."

Coffee, coffee, I need my morning coffee.
Coffee, coffee, I gotta have my coffee.
But my brain is far too fuzzy, I can't choose, I just don't know,
But I have to have some coffee to go.

Alcoholics in the gutter, junkies in the street
Improverished by their habits, they don't have enough to eat.
At least Caffeine is legal, and fairly cheap to buy,
And drinking too much coffee won't get me a DUI.
It's true, I am addicted, it is my constant woe,
But I just have to have some coffee to go.

Coffee, coffee, I need my morning coffee.
Coffee, coffee, I gotta have my coffee.
I get caffeine withdrawal headaches, if I just drink too slow,
I really haveta have some coffee to go.
